  • User-Provided Information:
    • De-PayM Usernames: When you sign up for De-PayM, in our in-app chat(BizChat) which is still under development for financial discussions, your chosen a De-PayM username will be used to identify you in chats.
    • On/Off-Ramp KYC: If you register as a De-Agent(which is still under development) to help users convert crypto to cash (or vice versa), we collect your name, contact details, ID documents, and location to verify your identity.
  • Automatically Collected Information:
    • Location Data: We detect your location to offer real-time currency exchange rates (via v6.exchangerate-api.com) and to match you with nearby service providers. This isn’t stored unless you’re a provider.
    • Blockchain Data: When you connect your MetaMask wallet, we use your public wallet address for transactions (e.g., sending USDC). Transaction details like amount and timestamp are stored on the blockchain, which is public.
  • Third-Party Data: Services like MetaMask and blockchains (Base, Arbitrum, Optimism) may collect data based on their own policies.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data powers De-PayM’s features while keeping your control intact.

  • BizChat: Usernames let you chat with others about payments or business deals.
  • On/Off-Ramp: KYC and location data help verify providers and connect users to local services.
  • Payments: Wallet addresses process payments, withdrawals, and deposits on-chain.
  • Exchange Rates: Location-based rates ensure fair currency conversions.
  • Staking (Coming Soon): Wallet addresses will distribute rewards when you stake stablecoins.
  • Improvement: Anonymized data helps us enhance the app without identifying you.

3. Sharing Your Information

We share minimal data, and blockchain transactions are naturally public.

  • Blockchain: Payment details (e.g., amount, wallet address) are visible on Base, Arbitrum, or Optimism blockchains, as they’re public ledgers.
  • Providers: Your location may be shared with providers for matching, but only with your consent.
  • Regulators: KYC data may be shared if legally required (e.g., anti-money laundering laws).
  • Third Parties: MetaMask and blockchains handle data per their policies, which we don’t control.

4. Data Security

We prioritize security, but you control the most sensitive parts.

  • Non-Custodial: You manage your MetaMask wallet’s private keys and passphrases. We never see or store them.
  • Smart Contracts: Our payment and reward systems use audited smart contracts to reduce risks.
  • KYC Protection: Provider data is encrypted with top-tier security standards.
  • Blockchain Note: Public transaction data can’t be deleted due to blockchain’s nature.

You have control over your data and how you use De-PayM.

7. Children’s Privacy
